Case Study 1 : Oakley Steel Ltd
The Company :
Oakley Steel is one of Europe’s leading steel stockholders focused on exporting boiler plate to the Middle and Far East. With a huge range of plates sizes and thicknesses Oakley Steel is a supplier of choice for fabricators in the oil and gas industry requiring high quality European plate for their boilers and pressure vessels.
The Problem :
Their previous site which had been built by K & M had become difficult to update due to the regular content updates required and in conjunction with a corporate rebranding the opportunity was taken to completely redesign the site.
The Solution :
K & M undertook a detailed analysis of traffic from the previous website and used that to design a new structure for the website that would increase traffic. We also looked at the aesthetics of the old site and substantially improved them through the use of more photos, lightboxes and flash movies.
The Result :
Oakley Steel have more than tripled their web traffic since the new web site went live and as a result have generated a substantial amount of new business.
