Internet Explorer version 7 has now been launched in advance of Microsoft's new Vista operating system which will be available in 2007.
Microsoft browsers tends to be the last to be released - as IE is the world's most popular web browser, it inevitably will be the one most likely to be hacked unless stringent testing and security measures are in place prior to launch.
Other tab based browsers such as Firefox and Netscape have been around for a while now, and IE7 is a major step forward from IE6 with tab browsing, added functionality and a streamlined interface. So what concerns should you have about compliance?
The fact is that in previous versions of Internet Explorer it was easy for webmasters to be lazy with their coding. Proper opening and closing of tags, accurate coding of CSS - these coding requirements are vitally important now.
